I was in the garden shooting some new flowers which had bloomed. While there, I noticed a garden spider on its web and thought it would be a good idea to shoot it in UV (using ambient light) to see what it looked like. I have just uploaded my latest IDS video, starring a popular pollinator. This was shot using my newest IDS2e filter.
I have just uploaded my next Insect-D-sight video onto Youtube. I have included visible and UV videos as well, so these can be compared with the two IDS-filtered videos.

I have just done a video to illustrate Insect-D-Sight (IDS).
I used iMovie to edit the various clips, as well as adjusting custom whitebalance(which is necessary to get the best results). I am quite pleased with my first go at this; I would have done this handheld, but I am not very experienced in videoing, so still learning. But I hope to use the 5-axis IBIS of the Olympus EM-5 to the best effect when shooting this type of video. Continue reading Insect-D-Sight Video
