Flaming Star nebula and IC410

Having reprocessed quite a few different DSOs with Pixinsight, this time round it is the turn of the Flaming Star Nebula (IC405) and its neighbour IC410 with its open star cluster NGC1893, both in the constellation Auriga. These were captured between 14/3/16 and 25/3/16 over many nights, as I only started imaging it when my other target became too low to image. Continue reading Flaming Star nebula and IC410

Flaming Star nebula IC405 + IC410 – narrowband

One of the objects I imaged a while back was the Flaming Star nebula, also known as IC405. I also managed to capture its neighbour IC410, all in narrowband (H-alpha, O-III and S-II). This image was processed with StarTools. Recently, my wife bought me Pixinsight for processing my astrophotos, and hence I will be reprocessing all my images with this, as soon as I relearn the workflow once more; it has been a while since I used Pixinsight with its free trial offer.
