Soul nebula

A while backĀ I posted an image of the Heart nebula. Today I thought I would share a picture of its neighbour, the Soul nebula (Westerhout 5, LBN 667).

Imaging settings:

ASI178MM cooled to -25 degrees C, Gain 200 3 minute subs

Red: Astronomik 12nm H-alpha 40 x 3 min subs

Green: Astronomik 12nm O-III 30 x 3 min subs

Blue: Astronomik 12nm S-II 30 x 3 min subs

Total integration time = 300 mins or 5 hours

To me the Soul nebula looks like a fetus. But to my daughter it looks like a lamb with a tiny little tail at the bottom left. Either way, it is rather interesting that it sits so close to the Heart nebula.
