Sony A7R + Leica 50mm Summilux ASPH

I like this lens. Particularly with the Phigment Tech Leica M-E-mount adapter, as it makes the adjustment of manual focus so much easier. This lens is also very sharp wide open, with much less chromatic aberration than other F1.4 lenses I have used (Contax Zeiss 50/1.4, Sony 85/1.4 Zeiss).

It also looks very nice together with the A7R. Don’t you think?

All the shots below were taken in Aperture mode at F1.4. The only other F1.4 lens I would shoot wide open is the Panasonic 25mm F1.4 Leica Micro 4/3rds lens, which is also very sharp wide open.

Conclusion:

1) It is sharp in the centre wide open

2) The bokeh is very smooth

3) It looks great on the Sony A7R
