The sun was out again on Sunday and I thought I would image it, as there were quite a few sunspots visible. Unfortunately the seeing was very poor and hence not good for getting close-ups of the sunspots.
As can be seen there are many sunspots visible. The largest on the right is AR2222 (3 o’clock position). AR2216 (7 o’clock) and AR2219 (8 o’clock), AR2218 (near the centre) plus a few smaller ones.
The 100% crop shows how poor the seeing was today, and hence there is less detail captured. But this is also why solar imaging is so interesting, as you are note sure how the seeing will be, plus what you see on one day can be totally different from other days.
