Red Hawthorn

The red hawthorn trees are blooming around Oxford currently. These flowers are very delicate, and the petals do fall off fairly easily. Of the 6 flowers of the stem I had picked, only one survived intact with all 5 petals for me to photograph. Hence I could not miss this chance to photograph it with my indoors studio setup.

It is very interesting that although it is a very UV-dark flower, the image taken with the 330WB60 filter manages to capture it with a bluish tinge.
