With autumn coming upon us, I thought I would take the last opportunity to photograph some of the flowers blooming in my garden which I have not had a chance to photograph. The first of these is the red geranium which I had planted in late spring this year. I picked one of the freshly bloomed flower to photograph indoors.
It is interesting that many of the red flowers appear more orange in colour when shot in my indoor studio, perhaps due to the light shining on the flower from all directions, making the flower appear slightly translucent.
This geranium has an interesting UV-dark centre, which we do not normally see in geranium. Now I do like the IDS images and the UV-induced visible fluorescence (UVIVF) best.
