Although we have lovely chinese food cooked by my wife regularly, we still enjoy ordering Chinese food from our favourite take-away – House of Tim. There are some dishes on their menu that are just so delicious, that once in a while it is such a treat to order food from them. In this post, I will share with you some of our favourite dishes.
It is great that we have a very good Chinese Take-away not too far from where we live. Now though they do take-away food, they will also deliver the food within the Oxford OX3 and OX4 area.
This is our favourite dish – Deep Fried Squid with garlic salt and chilli pepper. My wife has to order two servings of this, otherwise there will not be enough – even my oldest daughter loves it. It has to be eaten hot, as it is so NICE!
It is so nice it deserves a close-up shot as well.
Another favourite is the beef hor fun. You will see everyone in my family asking for a share of this as well.
Stir-fry beef with ginger and spring onion – the beef is very nice and tender and lovely.
For the vegetable dish, my wife chose the Stir-fry King prawn with mixed vegetables.
The plain chow mein normally comes with bean sprouts and onion, but my daughters prefer the noodles without these, which is why my wife requested the proprietor to leave these out. My youngest daughter kept asking for a top-up, which means the noodles must taste very nice.
Most Chinese Take-aways will serve prawn crackers, which is always a lovely treat for the family.
The proprietor is very friendly, the service is great and the food is excellent – so we would highly recommend House of Tim to those living in Oxford. Big thumbs up!
