Novelty sweets

Once in a while, there is a need to buy things back for family or friends. As my focus tends to be with the children, I decided to look out for sweets that were out of the ordinary. Here are some that I’ve found.

Pizza sweets containing fruit juice. Interesting packaging which will appeal to little children. Certainly the nephews and nieces who received it enjoyed it.

Toxic waste – these are small barrels of sweets which are extremely sour. If they can persist, then it does get better in the end.

Jelly Belly Bean Boozled – these are specially paired sweets, such that there are 2 flavours to each colour (one which is a traditional flavour e.g. chocolate pudding, and one which is interesting e.g. canned dog food). These are edible jelly beans which just have flavours to mimic certain different food or non-food items. Will be a very interesting game to play with friends.

In Harry Potter’s the Philosopher’s stone, there is the mention of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, with some nice flavours and others which are interesting. It also comes from Jelly Belly but has a packaging which will appeal to fans of this series. Unlike Bean Boozled, what you see is what you get as there is only one flavour per colour.

This trip back home to visit relatives is sorted, but it may be more challenging next time to find things of interest to buy back.
