New York and Washington – Infrared

Here I have compiled the infrared images from my recent trip to America which particularly stand out to me; I have not included those of the Statue of Liberty & Liberty Island as they have already been posted. These were taken with my Olympus E-PL5 using the 14-42mm kit lens and a 650nm infrared filter. Images were processed with Capture One Pro 10 which I have upgraded to recently.

New York Pier:

The image below was taken near to where we took the cruise to get to Liberty Island.

White House:

The day when we visited the White House unfortunately was when it was undergoing renovation with unsightly cranes towering over it and with workmen on the roof.

World War II Memorial:

The World War II Memorial is a reminder of the many countries allied with the US in that war, and of the many who were involved in that war.

Reflecting Pool and the Washington Monument:

This image captures the reflection of the Washington Monument, an Obelisk commemorating George Washington the first President of the United States. This is an awesome sight.

Lincoln Memorial:

The image below is of the Lincoln Memorial, taken on a very warm sunny day.
