My new chilli plants

Last year, I had bought 4 Ghost chilli plants to grow my own chilli. One plant was left outdoors and that did not survive very long. Hence I was left with 3 plants in my conservatory to produce these hot chillis. Unfortunately they did not overwinter well, and all of them have died – in fact two of my Bird’s eye chilli plants have also died. Hence I needed to look for new ones to replace them. I was particularly pleased to find these at Millet’s Farm the other week.

These are Trinidad Moruga Scorpion chilli plants. I bought two of these to grow in my conservatory.

These have started to grow a little and there are signs that the first flowers are about to come out. It will be interesting to see if I will get much chilli from them. But I will also be keeping my eyes out for some even ¬†hotter chilli, as I have to replace the two Bird’s eye chilli plants I lost as well.
