My daughter’s Cushion

There are classes that my youngest daughter enjoys at school. One of these classes is DT or Design and Technology – something that was not time during my time in school. But it is an interesting subject, as it gives them the time to put their imaginative powers into making something nice that they can bring home at the end. Last term, my daughter did a project on making her own patch-work cushion. This project did take her the whole term, but it was worth it. She enjoyed making it, and was extremely pleased with the end product. To think that an 8 year old can produce something so lovely, is just beyond me. But I will share pictures of this lovely cushion that she made.

This cushion is rather impressive, and just goes to show what the education can be like in the UK, giving children time to challenge their think, to create and make things that they can be proud of – rather than the traditional way of schooling, with loads of memory work.
