In the past, I had organised quite a few birthday parties for my oldest daughter, with various different themes including Pokemon, Batman and others. Recently when my youngest daughter wanted to have a birthday play date with her best friend, I was tasked with finding the appropriate theme for her party. As most people love the Minions, it was a fairly easy choice to make – the hard part was sourcing the various different Minion-related things for the party.Hence on my day off, I had to go round the various shops to hunt down the various different things for the party. As my daughter already had her own Minion, there was no need to “invite” another Minion to her party.
After going to over 6 stores (and some of them twice), I finally managed to get the banner, plates and cups, other Minion associated merchandise, as well as the food my daughter loves to eat.
As with all birthday parties, there needs to be nice delicious food.
As you can see from below, my daughter loves chocolate – chocolate chip cookies, chocolate eclair and chocolate cake.
For lunch, I made them both a lovely hot dog – it did not take them very long to eat this. I also gave them each a clementine, so there was something healthy in their diet.
My wife bought this lovely chocolate cake – Taste the difference from Tesco. It was actually rather nice.
For dinner, my wife cooked some of my daughter’s favourite food – fried fresh noodles and deep fried spring rolls.
My daughter was very happy with the party, as she and her friend enjoyed the various activities, the food and the fun. It was well worth the effort.
