My daughter has been wanting to build a gingerbread house for Christmas for quite a while now. As a treat for her for passing her Grade 6 piano exams, I bought her a set to assemble and decorate from Tesco.
The kit comes with the building blocks for the house: gingerbread walls and roof, icing for the cement and various sweets for decoration.
I am pretty pleased with my daughter’s effort, particularly when bearing in mind that there is no artistic talent she can inherit from me. Mind you, the only thing she is thinking about now is to eat it. She will just have to wait a little longer until her mum sees it and has had a chance to take a picture of it.
