Down by the River

Now I was digging through the memory card of my camera from last year, and noticed that I had taken some photos down by Sandford Lock. This was around the time when we had our daughter’s German-exchange student staying with us for the week. Hence I thought it would be a good time to post some of these photos.

One of the advantages of living in a village near the River Thames, is that there are beautiful sites to visit and trails to walk, to enjoy the lovely scenery and breathe in the fresh air. This is simply not possible in the fast-paced, high pressure, air-polluted environments of the busy cities (except perhaps in certain parks in these cities). Below are just some of the photos of note taken on that walk last year.

So while many people are caught up in the pursuits of their life – be it progressing up the career ladder, acquiring a fortune, achieving sporting excellence, building a family, doing activities that benefit mankind, there are plenty of things happening all around us. It just depends on whether you take the time and effort to notice it or not.
