Christmas Pudding

I thought I would share how we make our perfect Christmas pudding. It starts with a good Christmas pudding bought from the supermarket. Other ingredients needed are Cognac or whisky to complete the cooking process and some fresh cream.

The next step involves cooking the pudding further in the flames using Cognac (or whisky) as fuel. The alcohol burns and leaves the aromas of the cognac behind in the pudding.

The final step is to dress the pudding in fresh cream. It is a very rich dessert, but we only have this once a year – and it does help us keep warm during winter.

We have a separate small Christmas pudding for our daughter. She loves to add lots of cream to hers as you can see.

This dessert is definitely one we look forward to every Christmas – especially the burning of the Cognac.
