One of the subjects I have always wanted to photograph is bird-in-flight. This has never been possible due to my equipment not being good enough, and as a result I have not had much chance to practice and get good at it. This has all changed with the acquisition of the Sony A6000, which when coupled with a telephoto zoom lens like the Sony FE 70-200mm F4 OSS, has allowed me to shoot birds-in-flight.
This shot was taken during the summer holiday in Cornwall. The kestrel was hovering in the air above the fields just next to the beach – clearly looking for prey. That was one of the many highlights of that holiday.
