For today, I am sharing another favourite UV-induced visible fluorescence image. This is the first year that I’ve managed to grow Rudbeckias successfully in my back garden. There is a sense of achievement, when the flowers that I photograph are actually from plants I have grown from seeds.
This flower was photographed and then multiple images stacked to produce this final image. The pollen of this flower is fluorescing in yellow/golden colour, almost like a royal crown (with that red centre). Definitely one of my favourite images of the year.
