There is something about a nice cake which can make an occasion even more special, appealing both to the visual and taste sensations. In this thread, I have looked through the various photos and selected photos of cakes that we have had over the last 2 years. Some of these were bought, while others were baked by friends. There have been other very nice cakes which have crossed our paths, and I have included the links to these threads at the end for all to enjoy.
The cake I chose for my birthday as this is one of my favourite cakes – the blueberry cheesecake from Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference range. It is truly a lovely cheesecake.

My youngest daughter’s choice of birthday cake – chocolate cake.

My oldest daughter’s choice of birthday cake – Victoria sponge cake.

She also likes the Marvel Avengers, which is why she also bought this cake.

My wife’s choice of birthday cake is the Lemon Drizzle Cake, accompanied by 4 chocolate eclairs – one for each of us.

Thefollowing photos are of a lovely egg tart, a chocolate chip muffin and a slice of blueberry cheesecake, which up until now did not make it onto my website. These were bought from a local cake shop in Kedah, Malaysia when we were there for a holiday.

These cakes/desserts were made by a church friend recently for two birthday parties – absolutely delicious. Even my oldest daughter loved them.

This home-made dessert was very nice, made with fresh whipped cream and digestive biscuit crumbs – not overly sweet. We even managed to bring home two, which my oldest daughter and I ate recently after coming back one late night from Pokemon hunting.

I have not included photos of cake which I have posted about on separate threads, but these can be found here:
