My wife went to London on Saturday to meet up with a few of her friends. In the evening, she came home with our friend who stayed the night with us. As she owns her own bakery in London called Bread Story, she brought quite a few cakes she made for us to savour.
Besides selling the various cakes and bread buns that she makes, she also supplies these to various food shops in London 3 times a week.
My personal favourite is the Japanese cheese cake. It is very light and airy in the mouth like a very fine sponge cake, but tastes as a slice of cheese cake should. This definitely ticks all the boxes for the various senses – sight (looks very enticing), touch (very nice texture in the mouth) and taste (delicious).
I always enjoyed the cakes and buns our friend brings whenever she comes to visit us. For those fortunate enough to live in London, you may just find some of these culinary treats being sold in a shop near you. Go on – I know you want to have one.
