Birthday Party Feast

On Friday, a few families from our church gathered together to celebrate the birthday of a very close friend. She also happened to be the midwife who brought both our daughters into this world, for which we will always be grateful. So we had a great feast together for the celebration. As you would expect in a Chinese feast, there will be vegetable dishes, noodle dishes and meat dishes including seafood. Our friends from church prepared most of the dishes below. I will keep the words to a minimum and let the food do all the talking.

As part of Chinese tradition for a birthday meal, there is always ‘long-life’ noodles served.

For the meat dishes, they looked so nice that they deserved to have some close-ups as well.

My wife prepared this vegetable salad, just to add a healthy twist to the meal.

The meal was excellent. All who attended enjoyed the food and the fellowship. I had to retire a bit earlier after 11pm, as I had to work the weekend. But it was a great party. Hope you enjoy the food pics as much as we enjoyed the food.
