For the mains we ordered a Margherita pizza for my youngest daughter, an Americana Hot pizza for myself, a Spaghetti bolognese for my oldest daughter and the King prawn Linguine for my wife.
I was so engrossed in eating my pizza that I even forgot to take a picture of it prior to eating. It was truly a nice pizza.
Unlike the King prawn linguine at Jamie’s Italian which lacked sauce and flavour, this dish was delicious and my wife enjoyed it immensely. Definite beats the one she had previously.
For dessert, we were already feeling a bit full. Hence we only ordered one dessert to share – a lovely warm chocolate fudge cake served with vanilla ice cream. The contrast between the two components was what made this dessert lovely – the taste of the chocolate vs vanilla, the richness of the chocolate vs the creaminess of the vanilla ice cream, the warm cake vs the cold ice cream, slight bitterness of the chocolate vs the sweetness of the ice cream. Definitely a good choice.
My wife definitely enjoyed her birthday dinner, which made it all worthwhile. It was particularly good that I had booked our table well in advance, as there were customers who were turned away at the door. But then they do serve very nice food – so it is definitely worth a try. We even took back half of each pizza as we were already full – but it went down a treat for when we watched some NBA basketball in the early hours of Saturday morning.
