We went last Saturday to a friend’s son’s 3rd birthday party. As would be expected, there was great food served. Not one to give up on an opportunity to photograph the food, I have captured the images below for your viewing pleasure.
The great thing about the meal was that there was plenty of protein served in terms of chicken, duck and pork. All were expertly cooked and tasty.

There was even steamed turbot served as well. Somehow for whatever reason, I did not manage to take a photo of the scallops with clear vermicelli (or cellophane noodles) dish.

They even served mini curry puffs. These were delicious, and even though it was packed with carbohydrate from the pastry and potatoes, I just could not resist eating a few of these.

Then came the birthday cake. This I had to eat, even though I am trying to cut down on dessert.

As I had my Olympus 60mm F2.8 macro lens available, I decided to take a 1:1 macro image of the cake, using the flash to light this subject. Not a bad effort I would say.

It was a great meal. Coupled with the fact their house was just next to a PokeStop, and we could collect from it every 5 minutes was definitely an added bonus.
