I have been an Amazon Prime member for over 2 years now. It has served me very well, and though it had cost me £79 a year, I have to say it has been very worth while.
I initially paid for the Amazon Prime membership for the fast free delivery. But over time, there have been other benefits that have reaped from this – and I have to say that the sum of the benefits outweigh the price of membership.
6 Benefits of Amazon Prime Membership:
- Fast free delivery – I have ordered items on Friday evening and received it on Saturday – and at no extra cost. And depending on the size of the item, you can choose for it to be delivered to a place where it will be convenient for you to collect from if you are not home e.g. Local collect (Post office) or Amazon Locker. This is probably the greatest benefit of being an Amazon Prime member, and one I’ve used alot.
- Early access to Lightning deals – Amazon has special deals each day where items are sometimes discounted by quite a bit i.e. real bargains. With Amazon Prime membership, you will get preferential early access to these deals.
- Amazon Music – Amazon provide their Amazon Music app for accessing the albums which are available for free to Prime members. These include Adele, Coldplay, Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars and Mary Black, just to name a few. The app allows for you to download the music to listen to offline as well, which is great when you are out and about. There is also an optional Amazon Music Unlimited subscription available which allows access to 40 million songs – which for Prime members is £7.99/month or £79/year (Non-prime £9.99/month). I use this very often these days. It is also possible to Airplay this to the Apple TV, using the iPhone or iPad. And with the Amazon Echo/Echo Dot, the music can be accessed through Alexa.
