4. Amazon Video – There is the Amazon Video app which allows for access to the movies/TV shows which Amazon have made available to Prime members. These do change from time to time. Very recently the 3rd movie of the Divergent series – Allegiant – became available to Prime members. You could watch it online or download onto a mobile device to watch at a later date. I have also managed to watch the entire Pokemon Diamond and Pearl series with my daughter. In fact, I watch movies on Amazon Video almost every night to help me wind down before bedtime. As with the Amazon Music app, it is possible to Airplay the movies to the Apple TV.
5. Kindle library – it is possible to borrow a book each month for free to read on an Amazon Kindle or Fire device, as part of the Prime membership. They also have a pre-release e-book borrowing service called Kindle First, where each month you would get to read a book before its official release date for free as part of the Prime membership.
6. Unlimited Photo Storage – As part of Prime membership, they provide you with unlimited photo storage space, so you can store your photos online. They can then be accessible wherever you have access to the Internet. Great for main photo storage option, or as a backup.
So while £79 is a lot of money, the fact that it gives access to so many different services, makes it truly worthwhile (particularly if you have the Amazon Echo/Echo Dot). And if you are not sure about it all, then why not take up Amazon’s offer of the 30 days free trial – which you can cancel at anytime if you do not wish to continue.
