In my family, it is tradition to put up the Christmas tree on the 1st of December each year. We bought our Christmas tree back in 1998 when we lived in Aylesbury, Bucks. Since then, we started the tradition of buying one new Christmas ornament each year to adorn the tree. There are 17 special ornaments (or sets) added since then, to add something new to our tree. This tradition has carried on following the birth of our two daughters, who really look forward to this time of year the most, as each can take part in decorating the family Christmas tree. As my daughter was ill with croup recently, she was craving for certain foods. One thing in particular which she wanted to eat was both ‘Chinese chives’ pancake and banana pancake.
